Okay so you are wondering where is my project...oh yeah that thing so I have to tell you that it is incredibly difficult to photograph clear!!!! Clear isnt even a "real" color. I might try to remember that next time I get a "GENIUS" idea in my head to create a clear ornament. Either way here she is...
She really hangs too. I am lovin her. So my thought process was I still have some gifts to be made. Well this purposes as both a gift and a decorative piece. LOVE IT! But the ornament doesn't show perfectly.
So here is my second attempt at taking a picture of her.
The scallop circles are cut out of Cricut Cases!!! Thanks Marianne! You rock!!!
Okay here is what I did...I probably should have done a video ah Heine sight. Okay so I got one side of the plastic Cricut clear case and cut out two scalloped circles with it. You can do this with your cricut and the deep cut blade but I used my Big Shot and the Scallop circle die From Stampin Up. Then I needed a way for them to stay together but...I didn't want to block up all the clearness (is clearness a word, I swear I was in Honors English lol) Then with my big shot I cut out a ton of tags small and large and stamped to and from on them. The tags pop right out of the top so that they can be utilized by the recipient! SCHWEET.
And that's that!.
In case you're interested here is a list of what was used:
Ink- Basic Black from Stampin Up
Embellishments- Snaps from making memories, brads from making memories, twine from Hobby Lobby
Stamps- to and from are from a Greeting Farm set that I haven't used in decades lol okay okay maybe months
Tools- Big Bite crop a dile. I love that thing
Paper- dcwv Christmas Paper, Clear Cricut Case
Adhesive- None score!!!
I hope you all like it, let me know what you think. Now off you go to Theresa's Blog.
I will giving away a little surprise Christmas package to one lucky commenter.

ReplyDeleteYour ornament actually is reminiscent of a favorite memory: I've been keeping gift tags since childhood and after my niece discovered this she began keeping her own.

My Favorite Christmas Memory is the year we traveled from Illinois to Albuquerque and my girls father purchased diamond earrings. He placed one box in another and when he got done he realized that he forgot to place the earrings in the first box. So he placed them in my stocking. On top of all that he was sicking than a dog.
ReplyDeleteThanks for making me go back and remember a special moment that I had forgotten about. Hugs
These look great and apart from the first photo they show up beautifully. I clever idea.
ReplyDeleteA memorable memory for me was 2004-2005 when we spent a month in Florida over Xmas and New Year. To us coming from a UK where it is so cold in winter and be there where we were all in the pool on Christmas day was amazing if a little surreal. No one wanted Christmas dinner or gifts which is a firm favourite here as we were all enjoying the sun too much lol. Thanks for the chance to win.
