Cricut Cardz Challenge #64

Well hello there fellow Cricut LOVERS! Hey did I tell you I have the new Nate's ABC's SUPER excited about that. I may have to use it soon. ;)

So today is another fabulous Day over at Cricut Cardz Challenge and we are creating something a little different today.

We are to make a bookmark in honor of DR. SEUSS!!!! Well two awesome things about that I LOVE BOOKMARKS and I kind of have a thing for Dr. Seuss.

I know he is no longer with us but he is still an amazing man and I just love him. Also he was really influential in the works of Stan and Jan Berenstain and they are my UTMOST fave when it comes to books. I have books that are almost ;) 30 years old that are Dr. Seuss and Berenstain Bears. So just a quick shout out

THANK YOU MOM

for instilling the awesome quality of loving books into my life. That's what happens when you grow up with a mom that's a teacher. hehehe

Okay one more thing and I will get off of my soap box. I once read a quote and its stuck with me forever so I want to share it.

RICHER THAN GOLD

You may have tangible wealth untold;
Caskets of jewels and coffers of gold.
Richer than I you can never be --
I had a mother who read to me.
-- Strickland Gillilan (1869-1954)
Alright alright I'm done, here is my project for today!

Here's a list of What was used:
Cricut- Create a Critter for the top hat (cuteness right)
Ink- basic black for inking
Embellishments- Label buddy using red labels inside, rickrack for the top and a red snap from making memories
Tools- Crop a dile (for the whole and snap in the top where the rickrack is)
Paper- DON'T HATE ME but I cut up an old Dr. Seuss book, we had 3 of the same and it was a little damaged. I say that to make myself feel better. I hate demolishing books. :(
Adhesive- ATG

  5. Love your bookmark! Dr. Seuss is the greatest! Add these to your book list - the Thornton Burgess Old Mother Westwind books for maybe second grade and for the older kids (still fairly new) the Percy Jackson books by Rick Riordan. If you haven't tried them, do. They're just awesome! suekimmet@gmail.com
