Pretty Cute Stamps November Blog Hop

Thanks so much for joining us for the November Release Blog Hop, where we are all sharing projects featuring the new stamps this month that are now available in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store.

If you came from Lisa's blog, you are in the right place. If you just stumbled across my blog and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog

For my project for the hop, I've used two stamp sets, Leapin' Lizard and Awesome Arrows.

With the Awesome Arrows stamp set I decided to make a pillow for my baby girls bed (don't mind the lint)      ;) Directions below on how to make both projects.

Now using the super cute Leapin' Lizards Stamp Set I made some really fun hand warmers. I just cut up a pair of pants (What was left over from the pillow was cut into smaller portions).

Blog Candy!! There is a $15 Gift Certificate to the PCS Store available to win! All you need to do is:
1) Follow and comment on each of the blogs.
2) For extra chances to win you can LIKE Pretty Cute Stamps on Facebook and/or sign up for the Pretty Cute Stamps mailing list.

Be sure to check the Pretty Cute Stamps Store to pick up your favorite sets - the New Releases will be on sale through (date) , and you can save even more by purchasing the November  Stamp Bundle! You can also pick up the SVG outlines for each of these stamps at the store!!

Now, you can head over to the next stop on the hop-Dawn's blog

If you get lost along the way, here's the lineup!

Instructions on how to make each project; if you'd like!
Project A.) Awesome Arrows Pillow
You will need one cut off pant leg. Yup, just cut off an old pant leg from some pants that you aren't using anymore or that don't fit. An alternative is that you can go to a thrift store and purchase an old pair of pants. You can get a pair for around $3.00.

1.) Cut the pillow to the size of your liking. The pillow featured was cut at 12 inches in length. I left the pillow sewn together at both sides.
2.) Using StazOn ink stamp your desired pattern. I choose to use the stamp stamp throughout but there are a variety of arrows in this stamp set that you can use to your liking.
3.) Using the sentiment of your choice stamp inside of a few of the arrows.
4.) Iron out your pillow and then turn your fabric inside out. Sew the right side of your pillow up completely and then sew up 3/4th of the parallel side.
5.) Using a dowel rod (I use the back end of a knitting needle) turn your pillow right side out. So you are going to push your fabric through the hole.
6.) Now stuff your pillow with your choice of stuffing I just used basic Fiber Fill.
7.) Hand sew up the opening that you left for stuffing.

That's it! You are all done super fun huh!

Project B.) Leapin' Lizards Rice Hand Warmers
Okay these are really fun and useful
1.) Using the remaining fabric from the pillow I cut out two pieces of fabric the same size. *For this project you are going to want to use prewashed fabric only. Otherwise when you warm your fabric hand warmers they will smell like the fabric store! EWE)
2.) Chose your desired stamp and using StazOn ink stamp your image onto the fabric directly into the middle as shown in the picture.
3.) Using Crayola Fabric Markers color your image in your desired colors.
4.) Once your image is completely dry use an iron and heat set your color for up to 4 minutes.
Optional: I added heat set gems to my project for extra flair
5.) Now turn your fabric inside out so that your image and the back of your hand warmer are facing each other.
6.) Sew up one complete side and 2/3 of the opposite side. Now pull your warmer through that hole to reveal the image you originally stamped.
7.) Fill your warmer 2/3 full of white rice.
Optional: If you would like it to be scented you can add some essential oil. I LOVE lavender and Peppermint so I added Peppermint for these.
8.) Hand sew up your warmer to complete your project.

These warmers can be used in the microwave 30 seconds will keep them warm (in my personal experience) for about 1.5 hours.
If you are in need of an ice pack you can also put them in the freezer and they will serve as a wonderful ice pack. I would suggest placing them into a ziploc bag prior to placing them in the freezer to ensure they don't get too much moisture.

Thank you all so much for stopping by!!

Hugs and Creative Blessings,
Raven
