What do you think of when you think of teachers? Today is the last day of teacher appreciation week and its just so happens to also be the Jaded Blossom Blog Hop. Please head on over there once you are finished up here. ;)
So back to my original question; what do you think of when you think of teachers? I recently had the pleasure of going to the PTA convention for our state and I have to say WOW I learned a lot. I mean I know teachers do a ton and I know most of them are amazing at what they do but I think I really didnt give it as much thought as I do now. My mom has been a special education teacher for the last 20 years and still not so much thought about it.
So when my sister told me that her son didnt want her giving his teachers a present I said with a rather harsh tone, "who cares if he gets embarrased those teachers are with our kids 6-8 hours a day they deserve something special." My sister and I can talk to eachother like that because we know that we mean no harm so she made him something. AND he was estatic about receiving it! YUP appreciate those teachers yall they are SOOO Important to our "better America". Okay jumping off my soap box. ;)
Here is one project we made for one of my kiddos teachers!!!!
Here's a list of What was used:
Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Embellishments- Paper Trey Ink Button, Yellow twine
Stamps- Teacher Appreciation
Tools- 1 3/4" Circle punch, 2" circle punch
Paper- Hello Summer by Echo Park
Adhesive- ATG and dimensionals
Be sure to jump back over to Jaded Blossom to follow along on the hop. ;)
Love that Album so cute. So glad to be in the HOP with you.

I love your project! As a teacher myself I couldn't agree with you more. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGood for you and your sister making sure the teachers know they are appreciated. If we all sit back and think about it, they spend as much time if not more with our kids. Sure the kids are physically with us more but a lot of those hours they are sleeping. I love your book that you created. Thanks for sharing.

I love this Raven! Stay on that soap box, girl! It is true! I love the Teacher Appreciation set from Jaded Blossom and knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it. I don't have kiddos, but enjoy making things for my niece and nephew to give to their teachers!

ReplyDeleteThe teacher is going to love this. TFS
ReplyDeleteNo I am not a teacher but I work with them and I get angry when I hear 'non-teaching folks' talk about how easy 'those' teachers have it - summers off (not really) and just watching kids all day (yep educating your kid). Teachers will love it no matter how small or big the appreciation is. TFS
ReplyDeleteYour teachers are going to really love this project. I love the paper and the little tabs are perfect :) TFS
