Hey beautiful crafters! I am so sorry for my Hiatus! Seriously it has been the craziest summer for our family EVER. Actually last summer was pretty crazy too but alas I'm back and the kids start school soon and yeah so Here is a project I made using the ADORABLE Pretty Cute Stamp set called Harvest Happiness and my favorite new MIDORI! I super love this thing. Okay so here we go.

I also filmed a video for those of you who don't use a midori or travelers notebook if you'd like to learn how I made these inserts. ;)

Here are some close up pictures...

I just LOVE this time of year it brings out the kid in me that's for sure! Hope you liked this cutie pie trio of inserts. Please be sure to subscribe to my youtube channel as I promise to start uploading videos weekly.

Pretty Cute Stamps March Sneak Peek~Brace yourself...picture HEAVY! ;)

Hey beautiful crafters! I am soooo excited to show you all this project. So I heard about this awesome new thing called Pocket Letter Pals (Click on the link if you want to learn more). I was just thinking I really want some penpals. So, now I have an excuse.

I was so blessed to use the cutie pie set called Forest Friends which will be available next week.
I wanted to keep the entire pocket letter flowing with the same theme Forest Friends.

This pocket contains stickers that I made using Square1 fabric adhesive, Pretty Cute Stamps (awesome arrows & Forest Friends) and Prismacolor Colored Pencils.

With the paperclips I used the same fox stamp and made paperclips out of them so they are smaller than the stamps.

This is another set of stickers using the same materials as described above.

Then I stamped onto tags using the same stamp set.

And here I cut out the stamped sentiments and put 2way glue on them so that whomever receives this will be able to reuse them. Behind them I added page flags because I'm in love with my planner at present! ;)

That's all she wrote family! I hope you are all having a great week!!!

Clean & Simple

Hey beautiful crafters! I'm so glad you stopped by today!

I decided to make a really pretty clean and simple card to share with you all. With the holidays and the weather changing a clean and simple card can bring life to anything and it can gift some inspiration to others as well.

This card is using the Awesome Arrows stamp set as well as the Fight Like a Girl set!

Have you ever gotten into a creative rut and didn't know where to turn? I'm gonna tell you my best kept secret for color inspiration...Magazines. My favorite being Downeast Basics wardrobe catalog. They send out a mini magazine every other month or so and the colors and designs are just sooo beautiful! That's my first go to if I'm in a creative rut and that's how I came to use gold, dark ble and a lighter blue as shown on this project.

I hope you are all having a blessed week!!!

Pretty Cute Stamps November Blog Hop

Thanks so much for joining us for the November Release Blog Hop, where we are all sharing projects featuring the new stamps this month that are now available in the Pretty Cute Stamps Store.

If you came from Lisa's blog, you are in the right place. If you just stumbled across my blog and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog

For my project for the hop, I've used two stamp sets, Leapin' Lizard and Awesome Arrows.

With the Awesome Arrows stamp set I decided to make a pillow for my baby girls bed (don't mind the lint)      ;) Directions below on how to make both projects.

Now using the super cute Leapin' Lizards Stamp Set I made some really fun hand warmers. I just cut up a pair of pants (What was left over from the pillow was cut into smaller portions).

Blog Candy!! There is a $15 Gift Certificate to the PCS Store available to win! All you need to do is:
1) Follow and comment on each of the blogs.
2) For extra chances to win you can LIKE Pretty Cute Stamps on Facebook and/or sign up for the Pretty Cute Stamps mailing list.
A random winner will be chosen (see the Pretty Cute Stamps blog for the exact date).

Be sure to check the Pretty Cute Stamps Store to pick up your favorite sets - the New Releases will be on sale through (date) , and you can save even more by purchasing the November  Stamp Bundle! You can also pick up the SVG outlines for each of these stamps at the store!!

Now, you can head over to the next stop on the hop-Dawn's blog

If you get lost along the way, here's the lineup!

Instructions on how to make each project; if you'd like!
Project A.) Awesome Arrows Pillow
You will need one cut off pant leg. Yup, just cut off an old pant leg from some pants that you aren't using anymore or that don't fit. An alternative is that you can go to a thrift store and purchase an old pair of pants. You can get a pair for around $3.00.

1.) Cut the pillow to the size of your liking. The pillow featured was cut at 12 inches in length. I left the pillow sewn together at both sides.
2.) Using StazOn ink stamp your desired pattern. I choose to use the stamp stamp throughout but there are a variety of arrows in this stamp set that you can use to your liking.
3.) Using the sentiment of your choice stamp inside of a few of the arrows.
4.) Iron out your pillow and then turn your fabric inside out. Sew the right side of your pillow up completely and then sew up 3/4th of the parallel side.
5.) Using a dowel rod (I use the back end of a knitting needle) turn your pillow right side out. So you are going to push your fabric through the hole.
6.) Now stuff your pillow with your choice of stuffing I just used basic Fiber Fill.
7.) Hand sew up the opening that you left for stuffing.

That's it! You are all done super fun huh!

Project B.) Leapin' Lizards Rice Hand Warmers
Okay these are really fun and useful
1.) Using the remaining fabric from the pillow I cut out two pieces of fabric the same size. *For this project you are going to want to use prewashed fabric only. Otherwise when you warm your fabric hand warmers they will smell like the fabric store! EWE)
2.) Chose your desired stamp and using StazOn ink stamp your image onto the fabric directly into the middle as shown in the picture.
3.) Using Crayola Fabric Markers color your image in your desired colors.
4.) Once your image is completely dry use an iron and heat set your color for up to 4 minutes.
Optional: I added heat set gems to my project for extra flair
5.) Now turn your fabric inside out so that your image and the back of your hand warmer are facing each other.
6.) Sew up one complete side and 2/3 of the opposite side. Now pull your warmer through that hole to reveal the image you originally stamped.
7.) Fill your warmer 2/3 full of white rice.
Optional: If you would like it to be scented you can add some essential oil. I LOVE lavender and Peppermint so I added Peppermint for these.
8.) Hand sew up your warmer to complete your project.

These warmers can be used in the microwave 30 seconds will keep them warm (in my personal experience) for about 1.5 hours.
If you are in need of an ice pack you can also put them in the freezer and they will serve as a wonderful ice pack. I would suggest placing them into a ziploc bag prior to placing them in the freezer to ensure they don't get too much moisture.

Thank you all so much for stopping by!!

Leapin' Lizards it's COLD outside!

Okay, so I realize in some parts of the Earth it's much colder than 18 degrees but for New Mexico trust me that IS COLD! With that said I'd like to think about summer for a minute.

Okay maybe not summer but definitely creatures you would see in the beautiful summer weather. For our super fun Sneak peeks I wanted to focus on GIFTS. Because, it's Christmas time and I feel like its crunch time. So here is a cute gift you can make for neighbors, your primary class, classmates...the sky is the limit here.

Let me show you some pictures and then I will tell you how you can create your own with some simple supplies!

I keep things! Like a pack rat, but not really, I mean...it's organized! That doesn't count as a pack rat right? And who cares that my husband looks at me funny when I ask him to save his Altoids containers, they make cute storage for puzzles! P.S. You can cover that if you'd like but I like the look of it.

Supplies
1. Leapin' Lizards stamp set from the November Pretty Cute Stamps Store
2. Water Color Paper cut at 8x8 or the size you'd like your puzzle.
3. Water based stamp pads in the color of your choice. I use Stampin' Up inks to color but  you can use any water based ink really.
3. StazOn Ink
4. Paint brush

Optional supplies:
*Altoids container
*Die Cut Machine-I give alternatives to this below
*Laminator-I give alternatives to this below
*An acrylic block (used for both stamping your image as well as for coloring)

Directions
1. Cut a piece of water color paper to the size of your puzzle shapes (8x8) for this puzzle.
*If you do not have a die cutter you will be using your cutter to cut straight lines. If you want to be fancy use your scissors and cut out wavy lines! ECK

2. Using StazOn ink and the Leapin' Lizards stamp set, stamp your desired images all over your paper.

3. With your desired Water based inks "stamp" a small smidgen of ink onto your acrylic block. *If you don't have an acrylic block you can use wax paper or freezer paper it works the same.

4. With a paint brush pick up a small amount of your ink and get coloring. Work from the under part of the body up spreading your color in that direction as the under part of the body is normally darker. (For coloring I personally use watercolor pens but a paint brush will work as well)

*Optional- Laminate your image whole. (If you don't own a laminator you could seal your image with school glue or mod podge but you will need to be very liberal with it as it could smear your coloring and wait for it to completely dry prior to cutting anything.)

*Optional- Set your cutting machine to 7 or higher because you will need to cut through a thicker paper now. (You may have to pause your machine and increase your blade depth if you notice it is not cutting all the way through.)
I found a free Puzzle SVG online just by googling "Free Puzzle SVG".
-If you do not have a cutting machine you can now use your cutter and make squares. Alternatively you can use scissors and get creative.

Now decorate your altoids container and you are all set. Give this as a fun gift or keep it for yourself as a "purse entertainer" for your little ones!

Be sure to come back all week as the Design Team Gals have some FABULOUS projects to share with you! Trust me...I've seen them, so I speak the truth! ;)

Quick and Easy Halloween treats!

Hi beautiful crafters!

I'm here to share with you all a super quick and easy project for a teacher/class room gift this Halloween.

I wanted something that I could whip up a few fairly quickly and not be devastated when they rip the boxes open, grab the goodies and throw the boxes away. YUP It happens. ;/

I used a fun die to cut out the boxes but you can use your electronic cutting machine and cut out any box really. Used a few circle dies and layered the circle and then used the ADORABLE Spooktacular Stamp set from Pretty Cute Stamps, fill with some goodies and BAM all done!

Hope you all have a super crafty day!!!

Pretty Cute Stamps Blog Hop Time!!!!

Hey beautiful crafters!!!

It's that time again! I can't believe it is already Thanksgiving & Christmas planning time! UGH I'm behind, I think.

If you are ready to get started on your Thanksgiving and Christmas cards & projects you are in the right place. We have an incredible blog hop going on and if you just happened upon my blog you'll want to start at the beginning over at the Pretty Cute Stamps Blog. If you got here from Kendra's Awesome Blog then you are in the right place. ;)

Each stop along the way is featuring the October NEW releases of the adorable and Pretty Cute Stamps you see here!

Well to get Thanksgiving (and the month of November) kicked off to a good start I made a little gift for my kiddos.

"The 6 days of giving"

Now you may be wondering why 6 days? I just made it up. I was going for 10 but then I realized a few of the ideas that I gave the kids would last more than a day. Each envelope includes a service our family can do for someone else or another family. They include hand written notes that pertain to the saying on the outside.

Gobble Gobble- "Create an entire meal for a family in need"
Thankful for YOU- "Write a letter and tell someone how grateful you are for them and why"
Happy Turkey Day- "Show your appreciation and share the Thanksgiving spirit by creating a home decor item for a nursing home or the Children's Hospital" (some of you may know that our baby boy spent some time in the Children's hospital last year. Our family has a new found appreciation for the volunteers there.)
You're such a Turkey!- "Be sure to make someone laugh today. Play, Enjoy, and be Grateful!"
Gobble 'til you wobble- "Make a desert for a family in need (brownies, cookies etc)"
Happy Thanksgiving- "Offer services to a family in need. Think raking leaves, doing dishes, vacuuming the house, etc."

Now of course you can alter these to suit your family and ages of those offering service but these will work wonderfully for our family!

To make everything in this set I used the Turkey Time Stamp set.

The blog candy for this hop is a $15 Gift Certificate to the PCS Store.

Oh y'all I'm so excited! This is my very first post for the wonderful new Pretty Cute Stamps Design Team!!! I am so grateful to be a part of this fabulous team!

Have you seen the stamp sets? They are stinkin' adorable and they are made in the US and have that wonderful Peachy tint and fabo smell!!! ECK I'm in stamp heaven over here.

Without further ado here is my very first post.

I used the stinkin' adorable Just Chill stamp set along with the Dino-Mite stamp set for the sentiment.

All of the paper is from Stampin' Up!

This little gem will go to someone, somewhere in this beautiful world as it will be taking a flight to Operation Write Home later this month.
