Hey everyone! Another fabulous Thursday. I totally love Thursdays. Okay so today is another fabulous release from McMahon Five Designs.
Isn't she just fabulous! I love her so! This is a page that I didn't write in because well I just love the image too much to ruin the page. I should also say that this all started with 2 sheets of white card stock. LOVE my acrylics these days.
This is my favorite digi to date. I just love the imagery. The picture says so much. Isn't it crazy and wonderful how art can do that. Totally open to interpretation!

Here's a list of What was used:
Ink- Printer ink (she's a fabulous digi), also vintage photo (Tim Holtz)
Embellishments- Three prima flowers I think (Sue?)
Tools- The book is hand bound with wire and using a crop-a-dile
Paper- The paper is just white cardstock
stamp- Live Wire
Adhesive- atg
color medium- I used a LOT of different copic markers (thank you sis) e00, e51, c1,c3,c5,y21,rv02, b60, r83,rv21, yg91, e31, e50, and r81
I also used acrylic paint lemon ice, bright pink, cloudless, leaf green, and grasshopper.
P.S. My computer is working again so expect tons of Cricut and SVG cuts to come woot woot!!!!

Hey y'all! Okay so today I really wanted to just play with some paper and some paint and some stamps. Well if you read my bloggie regularly you know I've really been getting into mixed media art journaling stuff! LOVE it btw. Its so liberating and free of rules. I love that. Well anyway my kids have been loving the art journals and they all want their own. So I've been helping them around the paint area but I wanted to make a special something for one of them who is just wanting to write the words to his own story and not draw the pictures. I can dig that lol. He is such a free mind so I guess the pictures give him focus? I don't know. Either way here is what I did for him. Also, I love Market Street Stamps and I'm uber excited they started doing challenges. This is the first and I'm really going to attempt to play along always. Here is my first play along.
Here's a list of What was used:
Ink- Basic Black (Stampin Up)
Embellishments- metal brad (Stampin Up), stickles, glossy accents, dryer sheets
Stamps- Blast Off (Market Street Stamps) for the stars, words, and rocket
Tools- Crop a dile to punch a whole in the dryer sheets (stars), big shot, yellow star die, sewing machine and thread
Paper- brown paper lunch sack and one page of Voyage of Dawn Treasure (one of his favorite books, don't worry it was an extra)
Adhesive- glue gun, glue stick
Color medium- white gel pen for a few of the stars and outlining the sentiment. Turquoise, purple and yellow acrylic paint.

Hey everyone! Thursday already! That means Friday is here tomorrow and well you know. Anyway I love Thursdays because I get to show you some amazing releases from McMahon Five Designs. This is such an uber awesome week.
This uber fabulous up cycled piece of cardboard that came with our recent purchase of...A printer! Yeah it was high time and now this one isn't working all that well, we may have to take it back errr. Either way isn't this uber awesome.
The digi is from McMahon Five Designs! In the middle there is chalkboard paint! I forgot how much I love this stuff. Yeah its pretty awesome. I just took a piece of cardboard. Painted it how I wanted it for the background, then used my heat gun to set the paint. Then I got some trusty painters tape out and painted all four sides the way that I wanted it and painted in the inside with chalkboard paint. I'm not going to lie (maybe I didn't mix it well enough) but I had to add 5 coats of paint. It went pretty fast though because my heat gun was never far from my side. We are great friends these days! Then I used mod podge to seal the entire outside being careful not to seal the chalkboard section. Then I took the crop a dile and punched two holes in each side randomly and thread the ribbon through. Tied those into a knot and viola! The sentiment over on the left side is from PinkByDesign just in case you were wondering! LOVES.

Hey y'all! I'm going to double post today I hope you don't mind. Here is one page to an art journal I'm making! I LOVE mixed media I cant even tell you how much I love this style and I was always afraid of it until I took that jump and realized I've been doing this since Kindergarten maybe even sooner. So without further ado my project for the McMahon Five Design team.
Well...First I have to say I feel a little silly. This is the project I made for last week and then I realized this digi isn't going to be released until today! HUM yeah about that. So we are kind of going backwards in our book here. Sorry y'all. But join me for the rest of the month on Thursdays as I will be showing you a different Digi from McMahon Five Design and how they made up this fabulous book!!!
Okay are you ready to see my projji. I am so super dooper lovin it! The clown digi is SOOO Amazing. I'm a little worried that I didn't do it justice! ECK hate that feeling lol.
Ink-
Embellishments- Prima Lilies - Pink (THESE ARE FABULOUS), I made the big flower out of an old shirt I had, button and twine from the stash. The Opaline Half Pearls - Wine/Champagneare from McMahon Five Design as well.
Stamps- The Little Clown (I am so in love with this clown), I also used the polka dot background stamp Bubble Wrap is from Pink By Design
Paper- A recycled lucky charms cereal box, and Aspen Wood Paper - Paper, old book paper
Adhesive- mod podge on the entire thing
Color medium- I used a LOT of different things! I love this style there is no right or wrong. Okay I used oil pastels, prismacolor pencils, chalks, and acrylic paint

Did you all see Raven in the title. YEAH I had to use this one because of that, well and its awesome. But when I was a kid mom tried to read me Poe and all I kept doing was say, "hey look there Raven, look Raven again, and wait look there Raven". HAHAHAHA I loves my name. Thanks mom for being a hippy lmbo. ;)

Color medium- Copic c5 (grey) prismacolor light peach, light cerulean blue, light umber, sienna brown, black, white, pink and dark brown. Also I used a LOT of acrylic paint colors but I forgot to write them down sorry y'all.

Yeah I feel ya! Well did you know that the Peachy Awesomeness that is also sells these amazing dies? They can be used in any die cut machine! Yup sure can.
The thin metal die is similar to a QuicKutz die and will cut on machines like the Sizzix Big Shot, QuicKutz Revolution, and Cuttlebug by Provo Craft.

I love this die. I want all of them really but this one is my favorite I think because the stamp set that coordinates with it was my first stamp set from Peachy Keen that wasn't a face set. Love that set. The die set also comes with 3 different Peachy faces. So cute.

Awesome right?!? Yeah I know super cute. Okay here is a video showing you how I made these awesome jewelry boxes for my girls. They coordinate with yesterdays project and they were really fun to make. This is NOT my original idea. I wish lol But I found it in a magazine somewhere. ;)

Welcome Fabulous Thursday friends. Today is another wonderful release day over at McMahon Five Design!
I LOVE THIS COMPANY!
Can you believe that tomorrow is already Friday. I say it like that means something significant. Well...for me, I have been free of the working world for nearly 8 years! WOW how time does fly. Years ago my husband said that we would retire at 45 and 35, we are 10 years apart. I laughed hysterically and said I'm sorry you didn't get the memo but I've been retired for some time now. ;)
Okay so this is what happened...right when I got comfortable with a style my heart told me I needed to do something completely different. Yes clean lines and flat images are gone, those days came and went like a cold breeze on a summer day. Today is the dawning of a whole new style and I have to say...
Okay so this little gem...I'm calling it a gem because I'm in love lol. ANYYYYWAAYYYY. It was made using recycled materials. Yes you heard me! lol Okay soooo I USE to have a shopping problem hahahah. Anyhow that lead to me receiving a TON of yellow packages in the mail. And I kept them because I like recycling but I hadn't found a use for them yet. Well I decided that I would pull one out and see what I could come up with. I did some awesome things to the inside too. Basically I pulled the acrylics out dusted them off and went to work. I love how this came out. I also used foam stamps to stamp the "summer notes". This is for my little man. He gets shafted sometimes in my journey to make the world pink and frilly. Poor guy hehe okay well that is that for now. I hope you all are having a fabulous week!
