Project Life Spread Week #10

Hey beautiful crafters! I just wanted to take a minute and share my project life spread with you!

This is our week 10. ;) I'm pretty sure all of the cards used are from the Cut & Paste line. ;) P.S. I bought a ton of simple stories cards that I cant wait to share and make spreads with!!! SOOO EXCITED!

I'm kinda in love with adding elements that are clear. They add such a fun layer and you can still see through. ;) This cutie pie stamp is from Unity it's a stamp set called Tiny Trinity. I stitched that heart!
I cut these with my Cricut. I haven't used that thing in forever (shhh) don't tell anyone I'm a bad Cricut owner.
This is just a close up of one of my favorite cards. That sentiment is using another Unity stamp called time for…friends & wine.

If you want to enter the Pocket Page Challenge going on this week jog on over HERE! ;)

Love and creative blessings,
Raven

Challenge #1 at Pocket Page Challenges

I'm sooo excited yall! I started a challenge blog for all of us project life/snap/photo pocket crafters to inspire and create with eachother! The challenge blog can be found HERE.

Here is my spread for Week 9 as well a some close ups. ;)

The challenge this week is to create stitching and/or a list on your spread! To read more check out the challenge blog HERE!

Here are some close ups...
This is my favorite one. I took a piece of Clear craft plastic and used a paper piercer and my stampin up paper-piercing pack essentials Pack to make the small heart and then I stitched it with embroidery thread.
I used the same tools on all of these pierced projects. This one is my list. Its a list of the kiddos morning routine.

This one is just two holes super simple. ;)

This last one I just used the straight line from the same pack and stitched along the bottom of the text. The stamp sentiment is from Unity Stamps

Project Life!!!! Day 1

HAHAHAHA I am totally lying it is NOT day one but it sure does feel that way. Back in March I posted this box...

With this entire spiel about Project Life and how much I LOVED the idea! Yup and I still do. Problem? The problem is unless I really truly commit to something I can't do it for an entire year. I'm kinda fickle. I LOVE one thing this month and then next month I'll see something shiny and new and want that. Yeah that's me. BUT this time I am totally committed to doing project life and I think I've figured out why I haven't been doing it. I GET PRETTY BUSY. I mean like really busy. With four kids all in school, working full time helping run two businesses, being a member of PTA, and the Girl Scouts Troop leader (which I think I'm giving up this year) I just run out of time, as I'm sure a lot of you do as well! But I've decided to stream line which gives me more time to create so I will be on this Project Life one week at a time. ;)

So this is what I've done...

You still with me? I know long post...
I've went ahead and did the only "real" thing that works for me. I GOT ORGANIZED. I know what a real epiphany right?!?! Yeah sometimes I'm just not as quick as the rest of the world.

So, when I was finished I sat down and got to Project Lifing! Is that a word? Lifing? Probably NOT but it's going to be our new word for the week. ;)

So I ended up getting...6 weeks done today. Yup! I'm pretty proud of myself. I mean yes I did use Design A and primarily just filled it up with pictures but there was SOME journal work in there along the way. And I've decided I am going to just keep going. I don't care if I missed a week or an entire month this last year I just have to keep going.

On that note, I've just ordered 50 pictures from Walgreens using this code...
Enter coupon code 25BOGO25 thru Saturday Sept.,15th* Side note: Walgreens=not the best picture quality but it fits my budget and it works for now. So until I can come up with a better plan, that's what we are sticking with. ;)

And I'm going to finish up with a few more weeks tonight. Here is a picture of one of our weeks using the AMAZING file called Ticket Stubs By Paper Piecing By Nikki. I sure hope she continues to come out with additional Project Life svg's that I can use. Hint Hint Nikki. ;) I just went ahead and resized these bad boys to fit a 3x4 pocket and did some journaling. Voila All done. ;)

Okay so not all of these photos are the quality I would normally like. Yup but the problem with real life is that I don't always have my camera and I don't always have my kids. Sometimes the hubby takes them out or they are with grandparents. Regardless of who is taking the picture I want to capture their lives (our lives) all in one place. I'm giving up the idea that it "has to be perfect". I'm too real for that. ;) So wish us luck on this super fun journey. I'd love it if you were here with us but I know we are all on the path we are suppose to be on, when we are suppose to be on it. ;)

Thanks everyone for stopping by!

Project Life

Hey crafty friends! I am so excited I just had to write up a quick post about it.

So my AMAZING UPS man just showed up at the door about an hour ago. I've been waiting for him all my life ;) Okay kidding maybe only since Friday but when I ordered this stuff I was just bursting at the seams with excitement. (And to be honest Girl Scout cookies; note to self... "STAY AWAY FROM THE TAGALONGS")

Okay, so you want to see what it is that I'm so excited about????

Yeah that's all you get for now...just the box. But it is a big giant lovely box with tons of pretties inside and I just cant wait to get started.

So a little about Project Life and what it is...

Becky Higgins started a way of scrapbooking that is really easy, basically. For me I talked myself out of it and into it about 30 times before I just took the plunge and bought it. I LOVE scrapbooking I really do but I notice that I scrap the stuff that is "special" you know Holidays, birthdays, special celebrations? Yeah, but then I got to thinking my life is special. I don't mean that in a superior or uppity way I think all of our lives are special and I don't really want my kids to forget about all the fun we have together when they get older and start wanting to hang out with their friends more than their mom, ya know?

I was also hung up on the fact that most people start on January 1 and they do 365 pictures with 52 weeks documented so on and so fourth. WELL its March. Yup I said it and I'll say it again ITS MARCH! School is almost out and January and February are long gone so whats a girl to do? Then I remembered I'm no ordinary girl. I like doing things that just make me happy. I don't do them because they are conventional, or what every else is doing. I definitely don't do thinks because I feel like I HAVE to, so why not start in March right? RIGHT!!!!

Okay so here it is my first post about Project Life. I hope to have tons more and I'm excited to share the journey. Hope yall are having a great week.
