Project Life!!!! Day 1

HAHAHAHA I am totally lying it is NOT day one but it sure does feel that way. Back in March I posted this box...

With this entire spiel about Project Life and how much I LOVED the idea! Yup and I still do. Problem? The problem is unless I really truly commit to something I can't do it for an entire year. I'm kinda fickle. I LOVE one thing this month and then next month I'll see something shiny and new and want that. Yeah that's me. BUT this time I am totally committed to doing project life and I think I've figured out why I haven't been doing it. I GET PRETTY BUSY. I mean like really busy. With four kids all in school, working full time helping run two businesses, being a member of PTA, and the Girl Scouts Troop leader (which I think I'm giving up this year) I just run out of time, as I'm sure a lot of you do as well! But I've decided to stream line which gives me more time to create so I will be on this Project Life one week at a time. ;)

So this is what I've done...

You still with me? I know long post...
I've went ahead and did the only "real" thing that works for me. I GOT ORGANIZED. I know what a real epiphany right?!?! Yeah sometimes I'm just not as quick as the rest of the world.

So, when I was finished I sat down and got to Project Lifing! Is that a word? Lifing? Probably NOT but it's going to be our new word for the week. ;)

So I ended up getting...6 weeks done today. Yup! I'm pretty proud of myself. I mean yes I did use Design A and primarily just filled it up with pictures but there was SOME journal work in there along the way. And I've decided I am going to just keep going. I don't care if I missed a week or an entire month this last year I just have to keep going.

On that note, I've just ordered 50 pictures from Walgreens using this code...
Enter coupon code 25BOGO25 thru Saturday Sept.,15th* Side note: Walgreens=not the best picture quality but it fits my budget and it works for now. So until I can come up with a better plan, that's what we are sticking with. ;)

And I'm going to finish up with a few more weeks tonight. Here is a picture of one of our weeks using the AMAZING file called Ticket Stubs By Paper Piecing By Nikki. I sure hope she continues to come out with additional Project Life svg's that I can use. Hint Hint Nikki. ;) I just went ahead and resized these bad boys to fit a 3x4 pocket and did some journaling. Voila All done. ;)

Okay so not all of these photos are the quality I would normally like. Yup but the problem with real life is that I don't always have my camera and I don't always have my kids. Sometimes the hubby takes them out or they are with grandparents. Regardless of who is taking the picture I want to capture their lives (our lives) all in one place. I'm giving up the idea that it "has to be perfect". I'm too real for that. ;) So wish us luck on this super fun journey. I'd love it if you were here with us but I know we are all on the path we are suppose to be on, when we are suppose to be on it. ;)

Thanks everyone for stopping by!

LOVE this Project!

Yup you read the title right! LOL I LOVE jewelry! Who doesn't right?!?!?!

Well this week when I was playing around with the ADORABLE new Paper Piecing by Nikki file I discovered...there is an adorable print and cut spider web. YUP I kinda love Halloween. Its 2 days away from my birthday so I just adore it!!!! Anyway I decided to make some earrings.

Let me show you what I did.

First I printed out the spider web onto shrink a dinks.
You can use an electronic cutter and cut out your image but I ended up just using scissors.
Then using my crop-a-dile I punched a hole into one of the web openings.
 voila
Then using my heat gun I shrank it.
See this is the view of one shrunk and one pre-shrunk. (Not proper English; but I'm okay with it)
Then using jewelry tools and a jump ring I made earrings.
I also threw together a quick card using the pumpkin cut file from this same set.
I loved these earrings sooo much I had to wear them today! People were looking at me funny because...it's not Halloween lol. Its okay I still love them!!!

Thank you all so much for stopping by!!!!!

Snow what?!?!?!?!?!

Hi ho hi ho its off to snow we go...I know I know. It should be a while before we get started making Christmas projects? Yes, no; what is your take? I feel like us crafters are always behind when it comes to making Christmas cards. Okay I shouldn't be speaking for the entire Crafty community I should only speak for myself and I KNOW I am always behind when it comes to big holidays. Ugh every time I go into a craft store I see something else fabulous that I would like to create so when it comes to cards or decorating my home...well I go for the decorating! Yup that's me!

ANYWAYYYYY here is a project I made. I'm going and attempt one Christmas card a week from now until Christmas, wish me luck. ;)

Without further ado here is my project for today...
I just kinda love snowmen! I collect them as a matter of fact. Well kinda. I don't really "collect" anything but I have a pinterest board specifically for snowmen lol. ;)
Now that I'm looking at it I think I should have added some white areas to the hat...oops I forgot. Maybe I'll do an update. But its still pretty cute in a clean and simple way.

Here's a list of What was used:
Cameo- Baking Memories Pattern Set
Ink- Memento Tuxedo Black
Stamps- PK-482 Winter Wonderland Face Assorment, PK-460 Happy Lashes Face Assortment, and PKS-09 Snow Girl
Paper- Various papers from my stash. The main base was Paper Trey Ink though. I know that one. ;)
Adhesive- ATG and dimensionals

Thank you all so much for stopping by! I hope you are going to get started soon on your Christmas or holiday projects!!! ;) I can't wait to pin them lol.

Paper Piecing By Nikki twist

Hey everyone! How are you all? I am so super dooper excited to share with you all today! I just LOVE birthdays, don't you? I think they are super duper fun. Well this year my little man (who just turned 10 on Saturday) asked for a Lego birthday! And what did I do you ask???!!!??? I mentioned that a super cute Lego file from Paper Piecing By Nikki would be AWESOME!!! And do you know what Nikki did??? She made one! I love that lady she is one of the sweetest people you will ever know, she is just a doll. My son had the best party and it all started with the invites. Let me show you how I used the files for the Lego set...

This was his super fun invitation. Isn't he a cutie. ;) I'm partial!

This was the table set up at the party. My hubby made his cake which turned out AWESOME!!! ;)

He built all of these cars for the mantel. Nothing fancy just something quick and fun.
Super fun (and every one's favorite game btw) guess how many legos.
My Zoe helped me make these they are made out of candy chips.

We used the super fun Square1 paper for this game. We bought the poster at Party City and they I just googled lego printables online. I found a face and printed a bunch of them for a pin the head on the lego poster game. The kids got to put them on their clothes after the game.
That's it for now. Thank you all so much for stopping by. I found a ton of inspiration on pinterest and if you'd like to see my board labeled parties you will see all the fun lego stuff.

Thanks again To Nikki for being so awesome and making this super fun set!!!

Flip for Piggies

LOL Yeah I have no idea why I posted that as the title either. It sounded good at the time and the more I played it out in my head it just doesn't totally fit. Ah. Too late.

So how are you all on this beautiful day? I kinda love Mondays. Did I tell you?!? Yeah I do! So today I'm going to show you something that I uber love! Have you seen the new adorable paper piecing file by Nikki called Piggin' Out? First let me tell you I had this really cool idea and it came out differently than I planned. I was going to make the hot dog from the file too but I messed it the sizing and it came out sooo much  bigger than the pig. LOL It looked pretty silly. Well lesson learned that's what happens when you aren't paying attention. So I ended up keeping the adorable piggie and making her vault. Can you tell? I hope so lol.

Here's a list of What was used:
Cameo- Piggin out File
Ink- Basic Black (Stampin Up)
Embellishments- Twine (thetwinery.com)
Stamps- Hooray (Jaded Blossom) Miscellaneous Fun
Tools- Crop a dile, standard hole punch, word window punch and fancy label punch (stampin up)
Paper- Dots & Stripes – Candy Shoppe (Echo Park), solid cardstock (Stampin up)
Adhesive- ATG and dimensionals 3L

Thank you all so much for stopping by! I hope you have the best week!!!

Paper Piecing By Nikki Safe Haven

I Kinda love this file! Woops forgot to say hey everyone! How are you? I've done a few things with this cutie pie girl because she's kinda adorable. I just wanted to share...

So this is what happened...I had TONS of extra paper that I wasn't sure I'd ever use. Not that its ugly or anything I'm just kinda in love with current and beautiful paper so if it gets "old" then I don't normally use it as much. But this paper is so pretty I had to take it out. I've been missing my punches so out they came. I used the Creative Memories hexagon punch to make the background. I kinda love it.
Then I cut her out inked her up and put her together. She fit just perfectly right in the middle. :)
This little cutie is from a cut file called I'm Always Safe With You. Isn't she just adorable!!!!

Thank you all so much for stopping by! This was just a super quick and fun card I hope you like it! ;)

Paper Piecing By Nikki

Hey everyone!!!!

I'm back one more time for the day! Sooooo you ever go to the dollar tree and just walk around? Well I had to kill some time the other day and that's exactly what I did. What I didn't expect was to find some really cute shirts for my girls. I figure they can use them as pajamas but we had to dress them up a little bit first.

Insert cute Paper Piecing by Nikki file called John 13 Love one Another pattern. So, with the Silhouette designers edition software I printed this little cutie out and then cut it. Here is the finished product...

I was inspired to make these from KimberlyRae's project HERE.

I have to say I think I have the best model in the whole wide world but she wouldn't stay still and she kept playing around so this is the best picture I could get lol. Thanks everyone for stopping by. ;)

Jaded Baby

Hi everyone! I am so excited to show you this little card I made. Its a tri fold card also known as a z or s card...

Basically all you do it take a 8 x 11 (cut off the extra .5 on the 8.5" side) sheet of heavy weight card stock. I used Paper trey ink. With your cutter slice it down the middle making it 4 x 11. This will actually now make 2 cards. Now you are going to use your score pal or something similar and score your card at 4" and 6" now fold it out like an accordion. Next I took a piece of 3 3/4" x 3 1/2" paper and placed it in the inside.
For the front I used a piece of paper measuring 3" x 2 1/2" (pink square) and down below I used a piece of 3 3/4" x 1 1/4" paper and layered it on the bottom half.

Then I cut out this adorable svg from Paper Piecing By Nikki and stamped a Peachy Keen Face on it.

The cutie pie sentiment couldn't have been more perfect!
without further ado...
I wanted her to look like she is sitting on a blanket. Kinda love those buttons too.
The cutie pie stamp set I used for today is called Babies & Weddings.
Thank you all so much for stopping by. I LOVE reading your comments and just adore that you stopped by so thank you so much for all your love and support!
